This pre-filter to trap the larger debris in the recovery cycle before it gets to the main paper dust filter. This not only helps to extend the life of the main filter, but it also maximizes vacuuming efficiency. When the pre-filter becomes dirty, it can be washed, but must be completely dry before being replaced. It could also be blown out with an air nozzle or vacuumed. We recommend changing this filter every 200 hours of operation for the optimum performance of your vacuum sweeper.
