Using ionization sensor technology to detect invisible fire particles, associated with fast flaming fires, to help keep your family safe. The smoke alarm has a front-loading battery door that makes it easy to replace a battery, once a warning chirp sound alerts that the unit needs a battery replacement. The battery compartment design is also unique, as it will not close if the battery is installed incorrectly, leaving you assured that the battery is installed properly. A locking feature, located on the back of the alarm allows the battery door to lock if there is a concern of theft or tampering. If a smoke or fire hazard is present, an 85-decibel alarm & red LED light will appear. A test-Hush button allows for temporary silence of nuisance or “false” alarms. UL Certified with a 10-year limited warranty on the alarm. Meets requirements of UL 217.
